Preparedness Advice blog is a private information service and is obliged to post some disclaimers and provisos, annually. These notices are current as of August 1, 2016, and remain in force unless later specifically revoked or modified by the owner of the blog.
Advertising and Reviews
Per FTC File No. P034520: Preparedness Advice occasionally accepts cash-paid advertising. To the best of our knowledge, as of the date of this posting, none of our advertisers that sell the products mentioned in this blog have solicited Preparedness Advice to write any paid reviews or endorsements. If a blog post has been sponsored by a company, that will be prominently noted.
The owners of Preparedness Advice are not stock holders in any company. However, the blog does benefit from sales through the Amazon affiliate program. If you click on an Amazon link in any articles and then “click through” to order any product from Amazon.com (not just the ones listed in our catalog), then we will earn a modest sales commission. This does not impact the price charged by Amazon in any way.
We also have affiliate relationships with Solavore, Spark Naturals, and Preppers Market. These are products we regularly use and commission from their sales help cover the costs of running Preparedness Advice. From time to time, we may add another affiliate company, depending on their product line and its quality.
Occasionally, the product lines of some advertisers may overlap. I have always believed in offering choices to my readers when it comes to products and companies that I trust. I do not have any exclusive or non-compete agreements with any companies.
Not a financial advisor
Very occasionally, articles will be posted on the subject of budgeting, purchases, precious metals, or other financial related topics. No one affiliated with Preparedness Advice are paid investment counselors or advisors and none are employed by any company that advertises on the site.
Not a public accommodation
As a private information service, Preparedess Advice is not a “public accommodation” and is therefore exempt from all Federal regulations, including the American Disabilities Act (ADA).
Not a doctor nor an attorney
The owner of Preparedness Advice is not a doctor, nor does he give medical advice. Occasional advertisements for any medical device, treatment, drug, or food supplement is solely the responsibility of the advertiser and are in no way endorsed or accredited by Preparedness Advice blog, or its principals. The blog is not responsible for the use or misuse of any product advertised on this blog site.
As well, owners are not lawyers, and do not give legal advice. Occasionally, laws, regulations, and case citations may be mentioned in blog articles or weekly email newsletters. In no way do they constitute legal advice. Laws change frequently. Consult a lawyer if you have legal questions. If you choose to act upon the details cited in the blog without doing your own research, then you do so at your own risk.
Whether in regards to legal, medical issues or general information, Preparedness Advice should be only one of many sources of information that you must test against standard references and compare against your local climate and conditions, as well as your local laws. We reserve the right to refuse service (to wit: to refuse posting, linking, or mention of anyone or anything, at my sole discretion) to any person, agency, corporation, or other entity.
