Today I thought I would write a guest post on a subject that I have normally avoided. That is firearms, gun control and protecting the Second Amendment. Now, the situation I am writing on currently applies only to California. So why do you care, if you don’t live in this left wing state run by crazies? If the left has its way, these new laws will spread to other areas.
If Hillary Clinton wins the White House, a radical left wing Supreme Court, that will impact future generations and may be irreversible, you should be concerned about what is happening in California.…Read More...
Over the last 50 years, I have watched one crisis after another occur. Each and every one of these has created fear and new regulations and laws that have affected us in some manner. They have all resulted in a loss of rights
A list of the crisis’s that have created fear.
- The gas and oil crisis of 1979 – I can remember when they were telling us we would run out of oil by the year 2000. We even had gas rationing, you could only buy gas on odd or even number days depending on the number of your license plate
- Acid rain – this was a big scare in the late 1970’s early 1980’s.
Alan Greenspan on Thursday May 26 told Fox News that Venezuela is now under martial law and that “America is next.” He said that what was happening in Venezuela was inevitably going to take place in the US. Former Reagan budget director David Stockman on Wednesday told Neil Cavuto the U.S. could be on the verge of a market economic collapse.
So that brings up the question what is happening in Venezuela. Well for preppers this may very well prove to be a good primer of what can happen here. They are already having food shortages, riots, chaos and looting. I would not be surprised if within a few days the army is shooting the rioters and looters in the street. …Read More...
I have been thinking about what happens after TEOTWAWKI caused by an EMP or CMP event. This is about one of the worst things that can happen if the experts are right. According to testimony in the congressional records, there could be a 80-90% die off in the first year.
Now I have read articles and talked to people who believe that after a few years we would be back to using bow and arrows and living in small tribal groups. I feel that this is incorrect, having been a student of history I want to put into context, what a 90 % die off would mean. …Read More...
I rarely discuss predictions or make guesses about the future, but this time I am going to make an exception. I am old enough to remember all the demonstrations that occurred during the days of rage in Chicago at the 1969 Democratic Convention. The term demonstration is incorrect in reality they were riots, and very close to an armed insurrection. In addition to this, there were numerous demonstrations and riots in various areas of the country, with the stated objective of stopping the war in Viet Nam. They came very close to martial law in some areas.…Read More...
Everyday when I listen to the news it reminds me of the cold war. There are wars and rumors of wars. Today I was reading about people who are predicting World War Three by the end of the summer. I was born in the early forties and I can remember hearing predictions of wars, from as soon as I was old enough to listen to the news, right up until the cold war ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Now here we are again, more predictions, now I am not saying it can’t happen. Eventually it probably will. I am just saying don’t get excited about all the predictions and rumors. …Read More...
Recently there was an incident in which a young woman was carrying a baseball bat in her car, when she was stopped by a police officer. Since she had the bat in the front seat, the officer asked her why she was carrying it. She stated self-defense. As a result of this statement, she was arrested and charged under California weapons laws. If she had said, she was carrying it to play baseball he would not have been able to charge her with a crime. He also did not have to give her a Miranda warning.
Before I go any further with this article, I wish to state that I am not an attorney and while I am a retired law enforcement officer, I have been retired for many years and may not be as current as I like to think I am.…Read More...
