My Take On The Terrorist Attack in Southern California.

terrorist attackSince I have been slowed down, I got to watch all the news of the terrorist attack that occurred in San Bernardino yesterday morning.  The information that comes from the mainstream media is a mishmash of truth and speculation.  They use speculation and rumors to keep the public from facing much of the truth.

It amazes me how scared they are to face the truth and simply call it a terrorist attack.  Instead, they keep trying to make it a workplace attack or some weird combination of both. They have downplayed the fact that the wife was an immigrant.  From watching the news, it appears she was from either Saudi Arabia or Pakistan.  They haven’t been very clear on this point.

They have played up the amount of ammunition that the terrorists had in their possession.  But at the same time have ignored the violation of California gun laws.  For instance, the large capacity magazines were a violation of California State Law.  The two AR’s were supposed to have been a legal purchase.  But they were not purchased by the husband.  If he had them in his possession and under his control, they were illegal.

None of this information has been mentioned or was released in a confusing manner.  But the amount of ammo that they had was actually legal.  However, there is a proposition currently being circulated in California to limit and regulate the sales of ammo.  This would prohibit the purchase of ammo from out of state and require you to have a license to purchase ammo in state and the ammo would have to be registered.  I bet they will push this bill hard now.

The bomb factory that they lived in apparently was well equipped with the tools and materials needed to manufacture improvised explosive devices.  Where did they get the training and access to the necessary materials?  Last year they traveled in the Middle East, what type of training did they receive and from whom?  We as American Citizens will never be trusted with this information.

The French recently reacted when they suffered a terrorist attack, they are treating it as a war not just a normal crime that occurs everyday.  Their leaders rallied their people.  Our leader proposed disarming the public to make us more vulnerable to a future terrorist attack.  Pay close attention to what is going on and don’t be mislead.

If you are so inclined take the time to pray for the victims and their families, and don’t forget to pray for this country.  I know I will.

I just heard that the FBI has taken the lead on the investigation.
This is highly unusual and suggests that the Feds are treating this as terrorism. This procedure is entirely different from the beltway sniper incident after 9/11 near Washington, DC. There the incident commander under the unified command was the police chief from Montgomery County, MD, the jurisdiction of the first shooting location. As the investigation and manhunt evolved, DC, Fairfax, Arlington and Stafford Counties in VA, Maryland and VA State Police and FBI were participants, but local control of the unified command was maintained.

  2. Ed Harris says:

The suspects’ extensive arsenal, their recent Middle East travel and evidence that one of them had been in touch with people with Islamist extremist views, both in the United States and abroad, all contributed to the decision to refocus the investigation. But officials emphasized that they did not know what set off the attack, and said that they were not ready to call it terrorism.

“We do not yet know the motive; we cannot rule anything out at this point,” said David Bowdich, the assistant F.B.I. director in charge of the Los Angeles office, discussing the lethal attack at a training session and holiday party for county workers. “We don’t know if this was the intended target or there was something that triggered him to do this immediately.”

The lame stream news still seems to be going with the storyline it was work place violence randomly set off by Christians disrespecting him by having a Christmas party. Cities across the country are already banning public Christmas displays so as not to set off any other potential shooters. This shooting has a funny smell to it.

FBI Will Investigate San Bernardino Shootings as Terrorist Act

“This is now a federal terrorism investigation, led by the FBI,” said Director James Comey, speaking to reporters at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He was joined by Attorney General Loretta Lynch. “The reason for that,” Comey said, “is that the investigation so far has developed indications of radicalization by the killers and of the potential inspiration by foreign terrorist organizations.” The Bureau’s work, however, continues in close cooperation with our federal, state, and local partners.

Comey cautioned that it is early in the investigation, “but so far, there is no indication that these killers are part of an organized larger group.” He added that hundreds of FBI personnel are following leads all over the world. “We are trying to understand the motives of these killers and trying to understand every detail of their lives.”

The FBI is in possession of a large volume of electronic evidence that belonged to the husband and wife shooters, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik. Comey said the couple tried to conceal and destroy electronic evidence before they were killed in a shootout with police Wednesday.

Comey assured the public that the FBI is working as fast as it can to find answers. “We aspire to do it quickly,” he said, “but we most of all aspire to do it well and do it carefully.”

Having faced them as a threat, I can relate that the production of improvised explosives is unfortunately not that difficult. It does not require an advanced conspiracy to learn how to make them.

Also, it is telling that the BBC has reported ISIS statements that they welcome the attack by these “supporters” of ISIS. Telling in that they did not claim direct responsibility, nor are they referring to them as ISIS “soldiers”.

This type of copycat terrorism is something to be concerned about just as much as targeted attacks planned by daesh itself. This shows the willingness of certain people to “self radicalize”- and that daesh propaganda is unfortunately working.
