Most preppers are on a budget, so take advantage of coupons and store sales to stock up. Keep in mind that all medications should be stored in cool, dark, and dry locations to maximize their effectiveness.

Getting good painkillers is a problem, due to the misuse of narcotics. In the United States, we are pretty much limited to aspirin, Tylenol and similar medications. Now I am not putting these down they are useful medications and have a place in our kits.
But what can we do if we need something stronger and a doctor is not available. If you live in Canada, you can get aspirin with codeine and Tylenol with codeine over the counter without a prescription. Just ask for aspirin with codeine or Tylenol with codeine at any pharmacy.
